This list does have a moderator, but:
- if you are a member of the list, then posts automatically go through unless they are too long, or hit various SPAM checks applied to all IETF lists.
- if you are not a member of the list they automatically go into the moderator queue.
In general the moderator does not pass on long messages to the list - generally this will result in some request to repost in a more concise form.
The moderator will release to the list most material with a SIP related subject matter, even if it should probably have been posted to sip-implementors or some other list in the first place. If it is cross posted to multiple lists, then it may be blocked.
The moderator does not pass on to the list messages that cannot be read on the moderator interface, which is substantially text based.
We leave it to the list membership to direct posters to a more appropriate list. Please do remember that the initial poster who is a non-member of the list may never have seen the footer that the server puts at the end of all messages until they read a response to their first post.
regards
Keith
